Monday

Club Football (Gr. 3-5, Club Football, 850 RMB fee with uniform / 750 without)

Come out and enjoy learning some new football (soccer) skills! All coaches are fully certified and trained. This class is only for our older students. You can keep using your uniform from last year. The last class is November 17.

Beginning Chinese (Gr. 2-5, Ms. Lily Fan, no fee)

Older beginning Chinese students will focus on listening and speaking skills. ESL students are

FunDoh (Mrs. Lucas, Gr. K-1, 50 RMB for materials)

Students will explore and create with a variety of types of FunDoh each week. This will be a hand-on class making several different projects.

Come enjoy singing with a group of your friends! Work on learning to sing a variety of songs and prepare to perform during the semester.

Table Tennis (Gr. 3-5, Mr. Caliente, no fee)

Calling all ping pong players! Come practice your skills with us! Some students will have the chance to compete in a tournament at the end of this session!

Intermediate Badminton (Gr. 3-5, Mr. and Mrs. Caliente, no fee)

Did you enjoy playing badminton last year? Come out for more practice this year and improve your skills! Bring your own racket to class

Beginning Violin (Gr. 2-5, Mrs. Branstetter, 350 RMB)

Would you like to learn how to play the violin? Come join this beginning violin class and learn the basics.

 

Wednesday

First Chinese: Listening and Speaking (Gr. K-2, Ms. Katherine Liu, no fee)

Our younger beginning Chinese students will learn basic vocabulary and expression through games.

Art (Gr. K-3, Ms. Gao Lan, no fee)

You will do a variety of art projects during the semester! Come see what Ms. Gao has planned!

Hulusi (葫芦丝) - Chinese Gourd Flute (Gr. 1-5, CNethnic, 780 RMB fee / 110 RMB to buy instrument )

Come and learn to play this traditional Chinese wind instrument. It has 3 pipes, 7 holes, a metal reed, and a gourd at the end! If you don't have your own Hulusi yet, you may purchase one from the instructor.

 

Cross Country/Outdoor Games (Gr. 3-5, Mrs. Penner and Ms. Jeanne, no fee)

You will spend the first 7 weeks preparing to compete against students from other schools at the Cross Country Meet on Oct. 17. After the meet, the rest of the sessions will be spend playing active outdoor games.

Drama (Gr. 4-5, Mrs. A. and Ms. Geer, no fee)

Students participating in drama will learn a variety of techniques and prepare to perform later in the semester. You must commit to attending every class!

Brazilian JiuJitsu (Gr. 2-5, Mr. Chet Quint, 840 RMB fee, 140 RMB for uniform)
This program focuses on the discipline of Jiu-Jitsu.  The class teaches the basics of kicking, punching and ground fighting techniques.  Through a step by step approach that introduces and improves the students' knowledge and combat techniques, students acquire the strength and confidence to face their opponents on the mat and an individual discipline that can be applied in their daily lives.  If you are interested in martial arts, you will love this program! Thursday

Beginning Guitar (Gr. 3-5, Mrs. Cheong, no fee)

You will learn some basic chords first and then use them to play simple songs. You may bring your own guitar or borrow one from the school. This is for students with no previous guitar experience.

First Chinese: Reading and Writing (Gr. K-1, Ms. Liu, no fee)

Young beginning Chinese students will practice reading and writing Chinese characters.

Beginning Badminton (Gr. 3-5, Mr. and Mrs. Caliente, no fee)

Join us on the court to learn how to play. Watch out for the birdies! Bring your own racket to class. This class is for those who are new to the sport of Badminton.

 

 

Bus Service

A late bus will leave the school at 4:35 for those living in Wangjing, Hairun, and Upper East Side only. Please choose one of the following.

I will ride the late bus for CSI's, but I am not a regular bus rider. Fee: 90 RMB per activity.

 

Important Information

All fees must be included for your child to be registered. Activities will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis, and space is limited in many cases. All activities end at 4:30 each day and children must be picked up by 4:45.
